A sublime vertigo
Hurtling down infinityโs stairs.
This is where the quiet is
Enclose the ground
Open the sky
The idea of quiet pierces through words
Images and thoughts
But quiet is not a fighter
Nor a defender of realms.
Quiet lies beneath the crisp surface
Of our noisy habits
Taken for granted
Forgotten almost.
Quiet doesnโt speak
Quiet just listens
Pays attention to the odd efforts
Persistently deployed by some
To annihilate it
In its very essence.
This is where quiet is.
A fragile force
To protect at all costs.
A collective whisper
Sustained by its own memory
In the minds of those who make it real.
